Three Ingredient Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Melt in the mouth chocolate flavor paired with that smooth luscious texture in this dessert will blow your mind and confuse you if its healthy and vegan or loaded with milk fats. You can have as much of it as you want because it’s amazingly healthy and made from antioxidant rich whole foods! It’s my most favorite vegan dessert of all times.

Transitioning from a vegetarian to a vegan was difficult for me because of my love for dairy products like cheesecakes and mousses. But when I found out that you can make the exact same dessert, with the same taste and texture (and a lot healthier) which is also cruelty free, I was truly surprised. When I can get the same feeling of eating a mousse with absolutely no animal products, why in the world would I bother a cow or her child?

Avocados are very high in omega 3 fatty acids, the good kind of fat, in the form of alpha-linolenic acid. Monounsaturated fats can help lower cholesterol and improve heart health. Avocados also have a higher percentage of protein — about 4 grams — than other fruits. Their sugar levels are also comparatively low.  They are also high in magnesium, phosphorus, iron and potassium, containing even more potassium per gram than bananas!

So gather up these three ingredients and whip yourself this sultry dessert, which nobody will be able to tell is vegan! You can switch up the ingredients if you don’t have the ones that I used (I’ve mentioned the variations in the ingredient list). You can also add up a little, 2-3 tbsp of any non-dairy milk to make the mouse smoother if you want!
