Wake Me Up Detox Lemonade


Do you know how important it is to re-hydrate d your body after you wake up? Your body is extremely receptive to the very first thing you feed to it and quickly extracts all the nutrients you provide it with. So what is the best thing to have in the morning?

H2O and Vitamin-C!

Why vitamin-C? Well, It boosts your immune system and detoxifies your liver. It gives you flawless and naturally glowing skin, from the inside. It is a strong antioxidant that protects your body from free radicals that cause cellular damage. It is scientifically proven that giving your body this wondrous vitamin everyday aids in fat loss and helps maintain a healthy weight easily. It also has anti-aging properties and boosts the production of collagen in the skin tissue.


It makes our brain produce dopamine which is the feel good hormone of our body. It literally gives you a calm state of mind in the morning!

I’ve been drinking a simple lemon, honey mixture since like 2010, but I recently did some additions to it which made it extremely delicious and more beneficial.

Lemon: It has 88% vitamin-C!

Apple Cider Vinegar: Aids in fat loss and muscle recovery.

Cinnamon: Lowers blood sugar levels, and is delicious.

Cumin: Helps remove toxins from the body and gives you flawless skin. It also aids in digestion.

Mint: Cleanses blood and aids in digestion.

Honey: Boosts energy and memory.

Ice: Which is optional, speeds up your metabolism and makes your body burn fat.


Drink it every morning, or any time of the day, it gives you a natural boost of energy and is much better than coffee. This is my favorite drink in summers. I also have this in the morning in winters without the ice. This drink also gets rid of a hangover as it alkalizes the body and its pH level and gives you an instant immunity boost.

A lemonade that gives you a natural boost of energy, clear skin and amplifies the metabolism . Topped with healing and purifying spices and herbs.

  • 2 Cups Water
  • 1/2 Lemon or 1 Lime
  • 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin, Roasted, Crushed
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 9-10 Mint Leaves
  • Ice (optional)


  1. Toast the cumin seeds in a pan, moving them around continuously till brownish (don’t let it burn). You could do this is big batches as toasting brings out cumin’s flavor and it can be used in simple stir fries and salads.
  2. Fill up a glass with water, add the apple cider vinegar and the lemon juice.
  3. Add the spices, chopped mint, honey and give it a good stir.
  4. Add the ice, chill and enjoy!
